Liger Leadership Academy students are English Language Learners. They have been immersed in English for over five years but are still developing grammar and fluency. At Liger, we pride ourselves on prioritizing process over product. Please excuse any English errors as part of the learning continuum our students have taken over the years.
Welcome! My name is Sreypich. I’m a 15-year-old student at the Liger Leadership Academy (LLA). I was born in a marvelous province in Cambodia call Kampong Speu and is still currently living in Phnom Penh, the capital city of Cambodia. I believe that all girls around the world should got an opportunity for education and sports. Being a LLA student has completely change my life and my perspective. They provide be a solid educational, social learning and sports. Since Cambodian perspective that sport are not for girls. In LLA i had learn to be respectful, be brave, build our confidence, be friendly, care about environment, and support other who need help. I am really proud that I am a part of Liger Family. Coming to LLA i had traveled a lot both local and overseas, again in the future. However, my interest is sports and communication. For sport, I am passionate in playing frisbee and swimming. I have been to Philippines to compete frisbee and represent the Cambodian team also experience 2 times swimming across the mekong river. It was a really great experience to be a 15-year-old girl and already competing outside of the country and experience in thought complicated things that most cambodian girl haven’t done. I will be travelling to Vietnam again to join the Mekong Cup tournament which I am really excited about.Lastly, an important thing to mention is my dream. Liger has a mission change agent, who’ll not only help my family, but my society. I want to help other communities on education, basicly purasade more girls into education sectors. I want people to to change their mind that girls can be a big change in their society.
